Berger and Argenti Brand to Debut

As the cigar world descends upon New Orleans for the International Premium Cigar and Pipe Retailers' Association trade show, this last month has been filled with news and press releases from companies announcing new brands, new lines in existing brands, new blends. It's only going to get even more frenetic as the show opens on Saturday August 8th.

One of the newest revelations, coming out only last night, is that of the collaboration between and new brand by Enrique "Don Kiki" Berger of Cuban Crafters, the mastermind behind the popular Cupido, Cuban Crafters Cubano Claro, as well as his own Don Kiki brands among many others. Don Kiki  has teamed with  Michael and Al  Argenti. Al,  a long-time member of Cigar Weekly  who goes by the handle aja, has been with a couple other entities in the cigar business. His most recent venture Cuban Imports is a company he and his brother Michael opened in 2006 after parting ways with Tabacalera Perdomo. Cuban Imports first brand, the Exile is still in production as is the Exile Wired which has garnered accolades since its release in 2008.

The Berger &  Argenti brand was just announced last night when Argenti began inviting cigar lovers on the social networking site Facebook to join a group dedicated to the Berger  & Argenti brand.

Welcome to the Berger & Argenti cigar group! Enrique Berger, my brother Michael and myself are tremendously excited to be part of this year's IPCPR trade show in New Orleans - and to celebrate we will debut two new brands: ENTUBAR and CLASICO. We will also display our repackaged and reblended EXILE along with Cigar Insider's BEST VALUE OF 2008, EXILE WIRED - as well as our tasty bundled offering XEREZ. More news to follow soon with postings from me during the IPCPR trade show event!!

The CLASICO:

Berger & Argenti CLASICO will debut at 2009 IPCPR Convention in New Orleans offering exceptional value for discriminating cigar enthusiasts. Handcrafted with rich, all Nicaraguan Cuban-seed tobaccos surrounded by an ambrosial Nicaraguan Criollo binder and enveloped in a savory, sweet Ecuadorian Connecticut-seed 'Desflorado' wrapper. Four sizes in boxes of 20 cigars. Suggested MSRP: $4.50 - $7.50.

Says Argenti on the ENTUBAR:

Berger & Argenti's flagship offering ENTUBAR... will debut at the 2009 IPCPR Convention in New Orleans. This exquisite cigar is a tribute to the time-honored Cuban cigar making technique called 'entubado'. Each deeply aged filler leaf is rolled into itself creating delicate ‘scrolls’ of rich, flavorful tobacco. The ENTUBAR® scrolls are firmly bunched surrounding a rich vein of powerful, Esteli-grown ligero, which begins at the head of the cigar and extends beyond the foot of the cigar – creating a superior cigar smoking experience defined by a mosaic of complex flavors, sweet finish and unsurpassed draw. Available in four sizes in boxes of 20 cigars. Suggested MSRP: $8.99 - $11.99.
