BUFFALO TRACE SPECIAL F COMING SOON

btraceScandinavian Tobacco Group (STG) announces the launch of “Buffalo Trace Special F,” a limited-edition cigar created in collaboration with famed whiskey maker Buffalo Trace. Named after the unique and difficult-to-craft figurado which is a more pronounced version of the traditional torpedo, the new smoke features a binder aged in authentic Buffalo Trace bourbon barrels from the brand’s Kentucky distillery.

Handcrafted in the Dominican Republic, Buffalo Trace Special F features a rich Ecuadoran Sumatra wrapper, a blend made with Dominican and Nicaraguan tobacco and a Brazilian Arapiraca binder that has undergone a full six months of aging in Buffalo Trace bourbon barrels. The barrel-aging process adds a notable complexity, subtle sweetness and a rich, oaky nuance to the blend, while the overarching smoking experience is dimensional and layered with spicy notes.

Kevin Irvine, product coordinator of STG’s Online and Retail division said, “With Buffalo Trace Special F, we set out to explore the effect that extended barrel aging would have on the binder leaf and are extremely pleased with the results. The brown sugar and toffee nuances that have won Buffalo Trace Bourbon critical acclaim are present in the cigar, in the most subtle and intriguing of ways. DIESEL INTRODUCES TAA EXCLUSIVE WITH ATONEMENT

diesellogoDiesel Atonement is an unapologetically-bold, limited-edition smoke that’s just begun shipping as an exclusive to TAA members.

Atonement marks another project in the collaboration between AJ Fernandez and Justin Andrews who created the smoke in response to feedback from leading retailers and Diesel fans.

Justin Andrews said, “The Diesel story continues to be written, not by AJ and me, but by the Diesel retailers and the fans of the brand who shop in their stores. They’ve been as supportive as they have been vocal, and they didn’t pull any punches when it came to telling us what they wanted for the TAA exclusive cigar this year. They asked for a full-bodied Nicaraguan smoke that balances strength and complexity, with a little something extra, and we delivered. We took the packaging to the next level and made the box to look like a classic novel. It’s our way of letting Diesel retailers and fans know that our story is their story, and there’s so much more to write.”

Best-Selling Premium Cigar Brand and Esteemed Napa Valley Vintner Create Limited Edition Cigar

PARTAGAS AÑEJO RETURNS

Partagas Anejo Open BoxPartagas will soon ship this year’s second allotment of “Añejo,” a refined cigar named for the profoundly-aged wrapper tobaccos that define its appearance and attributes.

Shipping to retailers on October 3, Partagas Añejo is being re-released in the two original sizes that launched earlier this year. Both frontmarks are 4.5” in length as commanded by the scarcity and fragility of the cigar’s Cameroon wrapper leaves.

John Hakim, brand manager of Partagas said, “Partagas Añejo is a small-batch offering that we are releasing twice a year. This special blend provides the opportunity for cigar lovers to experience the mystique of a Cameroon wrapper in the context of masterful blending. The initial release earlier this year was met with a tremendous response, and we anticipate that the second allotment will sell out quickly.”

The limited-edition Partagas Añejo is predominantly adorned with a rare 1998 Cameroon which is intertwined with 2013 Connecticut Shade in a barber-pole format. The aged wrapper tobaccos establish a foundation of exceptional depth. When blended with the Mexican and Dominican filler and Dominican Vega Especial binder, the complexity deepens to deliver an intricately layered smoking experience.

A Message from Don Doroteo Cigars

don doroteoLegacy is fundamental to what it means to be human, without the sense of purposeful work, one loses meaning in their life. In 1936, Doroteo Fermin Delgado decided to follow in his late father’s footsteps by growing tobacco in the heart of Santiago, Dominican Republic. At the tender age of 16, he began his legacy – for his descendants, his community, and ultimately for the world. He never imagined the impact he would have on this industry, for years to come.

When it comes to legacy, few cigars possess the richness and abundance present in the Don Doroteo, El Legado, blended by Manuel Inoa – La Aurora’s very own Master Blender. In commemoration of the 86th year anniversary of Doroteo’s reignited partnership with La Aurora, an exclusive batch of Robusto samplers were set aside and will be available during the 2022 PCA, in booth #142.

DIESEL SUNDAY GRAVY SERIES CONCLUDES WITH PORCELLINO

diesellogoThe sixth and final Diesel Sunday Gravy expression will ship to brick and mortar retailers on October 3.

The blend is named after the iconic Florentine fountain called Il Porcellino. The name translates to “little pig,” yet the bronze sculpture is of a female wild boar which is said to bring good fortune and a sure return to Florence.

Perhaps AJ and Justin Andrews were hinting at a “return” to collaborating when they selected Il Porcellino as the
name for the final Sunday Gravy release. Either that or they were inspired by a wild boar ragu and wanted to name
a bold, rich smoke after it. It’s anybody’s guess.
