MIAMI - Cuban Imports, Inc. announced today that EXILE® WIRED, a new extension of the company's EXILE® premium cigar brand, will be officially released at the 76th Annual International Premium Cigar and Pipe Retailers (IPCPR) Convention and Trade Show in Las Vegas, NV.  Celebrating the time-honored traditions of pre-embargo Cuban cigar making, EXILE® WIREDwill be available nationally at fine tobacconists in the fall of 2008.

 

The discriminating long filler blend of EXILE® WIRED is comprised of deeply-aged, Cuban-seed tobaccos from Nicaragua (ligero and viso) and the Dominican Republic (seco).  EXILE® WIREDis meticulously enveloped in a U.S. Connecticut Broadleaf binder and a new Criollo wrapper heretofore not sampled by cigar enthusiasts in the United States.  The oily, coffee-colored Criollo wrapper, cultivated from an ambrosial new strain of Havana seed tobaccos cultivated at the Oliva family's 'Don Angel' farm near Empalmé, Ecuador, delivers an unyielding rich and deeply complex character with a smooth, spicy-sweet finish. 

 

EXILE® WIRED is fastidiously hand-crafted in four distinct vitolas: 'Rothschild' (4 "" x 52); 'Corona Gorda' (5 "" x 44); 'Torpedo' (6" x 52); and 'Double Corona' (7 ½" x 52).  Presented in a sealed, remarkably rustic 24-count cedar 'paletas' prominently braced with 16-gauge stainless steel wire, EXILE® WIRED carries a suggested retail price ranging from $3.99 to $5.49 per cigar.
