About Cigar Weekly.com

In the Fall 1997 issue of Smoke Magazine, Lew Rothman, then President of JR-CIGARS, wrote:

"...today's premium cigar smokers are demanding more and more information about the cigars, and the people who make them. To the readers of this and other magazines, premium cigars are more than just a product; they are an insatiable passion."

Cigar Weekly.com is a web site that has two primary functions and a multitude of great benefits.

First, Cigar Weekly is an online magazine with articles written by members who participate in our community forum from all around the world. If you are a writer and would like to contribute, please feel free to contact us, and we will let you know how we can help you to get an article published. Don't feel as though you have to be a professional writer to get your work published. We have an excellent editorial team that can help you get any writing into publishable form. We want to hear from you about your passions, your memories, your love for cigars and what they mean to you. Over our many years of operation, I don't remember us ever outright rejecting an earnest piece of writing (and please, don't take that as a challenge!).

Manufacturers and marketers of cigars and pipe tobaccos, pipes and accessories are encouraged to submit press releases to us as well. We have a special corner of the magazine devoted to these items so that you can easily keep up with the latest news in the industry.

Second, we are a community that boasts thousands of members from every corner of the globe, and with every level of cigar knowledge there is. We recommend that you join and get to know people, ask questions and, most of all, have fun. Many of the people on the site will seem like they have been friends for a long time, and some have. But many others have only met each other recently through our forum.

We have long been known as the "Switzerland of Cigar Sites", and our only requirement is that you treat other members the way you would prefer to be treated. We rarely get into arguments around here, and I think, with time, you will agree with me that there isn't a nicer, friendlier, or more generous group of people on the net.

Grab a smoke, sit back and enjoy a good time with us.
