Last week the annual Convention for the International Premium Cigar and Pipe Retailers kicked off in Las Vegas. As usual, there are a lot of things that I’m looking forward to. Here’s a “short” list of examples (and by no means everything).

Gran Habano: Three new offerings will be available from the Ricos. Blue in Green, Gran Reserva #5 2012, and the Coleccion De Elegancia Corojo No. 5 Maduro, a sampler of five sizes in the new blend.

Dunbarton Trust and Tobacco: Steve Saka introduces his new Sin Compromiso line, one he says is his best yet. He will also be debuting the Todo Las Dias Wide Lonsdale Mas Fuerte, a stronger blend than the regular TLD lineup.

Drew Estate: Several new sizes are being added to the Liga Privada line, including a Nasty Fritas, a pyramide which has previously only been available as an Acid vitola.

Southern Draw: Robert Holt ingtroduces two new lines to the already strong Southern draw catalog, the Cedrus and the 300 Hands.

Cornelius and Anthony: Stephen Bailey explands the catalog with two new lines, the Gent and the Mistress.

Crowned Heads: John Huber seems very positive about his new release, the Court Reserve XVIII.

Jeremy Jack: now available, the JJ14 Lancero will be available at the convention. If you don’t know about Jeremy Jack, find out.

Hiram and Solomon: a new vitola of the Shriner, a petite corona, is being added to the lineup, along with the expansion of the Veiled Prophet.

General Cigar Company: GCC continues its very successful collaboration with AJ Fernandez with the new Punch Diablo line.

Fratello: Omar de Frias is introducing an extension to last year’s Navetta release with the Navetta Inverso.

Crux: a new Mexican San Andreas wrapped Epicure Gallant will make its debut. They are also adding the Limitada Gunner and will have their yearly show-only exclusive cigars.

There is also the world premiere of Hand Rolled, a brand new feature length film about the cigar industry.

Along with lots of old friends, other new releases and lots of hands to shake and conversations to have, this could be the best IPCPR to date.
