TOP CIGARS FROM 2018
CW Chief Reviewer and Ambassador Jeff Slatton (Jefslat) runs down a list of the best cigars of 2018.
MY LIST OF TOP CIGARS FROM 2018
In no particuar order (except for the first three, which are all equally exceptional).
Dunbarton Tobacco and Trust – Sim Compromiso Intrepido
Southern Draw – Cedrus Hogan
Mombacho – Casa Favilli Robusto
Unfortunately, all three seem to be in short supply (I think it’s because they fly off the shelves), but given access, any of these three will absolutely make my night, especially when paired with a good drink, whatever you choose.
As for the rest of the list, all impressed me and all are solid additions to anyone’s humidor.

In no particular order:

Matt Booth, AJ Fernandez, Robert Caldwell – The T Maduro Robusto
Joya de Nicaragua – Cinco Decadas Pyramide
Dunbarton Tobacco and Trust – Todos las Dias Wide Lonsdale Extra Fuerte
Mombacho – Cosecha 2013
AJ Fernandez – Ramon Allonez Torpedo
Room 101 – Farce Lonsdale
Black Label Trading Company – Deliverance

Placencia – 146 Robusto
EPC – Encore Toro
Rocky Patel – Liberation by Hamlet Parades
Roma Craft – Weaselito
AH Fernandez – Enclave Broadleaf
Also worth mentioning is the Southern Draw 300 Hands/300 Manos project. The cigars by themselves are outstanding, and the concept of stories from the workers from field to factory is a stroke of genius.
I may have missed a few since I’m still not finished with all the IPCPR samples, but you can’t go wrong with any of the above.
